 The Miracle Streams Story
Inspired by the efforts of a family member to preserve and publicize the record of African American scientists and inventors through a project entitled Black Miracles, entrepreneur Kevin B. Humphrey set his mind to developing a consumer product that could carry this information - and its message of vision and aspiration for young people of color - far and wide.
After extensive market research, field observation, and informal surveys, Mr. Humphrey decided on bottled water as an affordable product with mass popular appeal and a steady flow of volume and repeat sales. At the same time he located a source of the highest quality natural waters from the pristine, unpolluted aquifers of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia, far better-tasting and more healthful than other bottled water in the marketplace, and a local bottler willing to work with him on the production end.
Mr. Humphrey then moved forward in putting all the pieces together: tying down supply and distribution arrangements, assembling an investment group to finance start-up of the new enterprise, assembling a professional team to design the label with profiles of African American scientists and inventors and develop associated informational and educational materials, and to get this website up and running. About Kevin Humphrey |
|
Mr. Humphrey was born in Lansing, MI, to a father who gave him an appreciation of history and current events, and a mother who repeatedly told him there was nothing he couldn't do. He frequently speaks of his gratitude for the parents, brothers, relatives, friends and teachers who nurtured his mind and spirit as he grew up. He pursued undergraduate concentrations in Business Law and Business Marketing and Management, and received several honors as a basketball athlete.
With substantial grounding in a 25-year career in telecommunications technology sales and management, including senior positions at Worldcom and MCI, Mr. Humphrey created and now serves as CEO of an independent consortium of family businesses - The Humphrey Group, Ltd. - of which Miracle Streams is the most recent addition. He remarks, "I had been searching for an effective, sustainable way to 'give back' to the community that encouraged and supported me coming up, and Miracle Streams feels like the answer to that prayer."

 What is the best way to taste-test bottled water?
This involves opinion, but have you ever noticed that the big name soft-drink manufacturers bottled water is always served at a very cold temperature? Try tasting those products at room-temperature side-by-side with our product. We feel this is the best way to really taste the water. Very cold temperatures can disguise the real quality.
There are no published guidelines or regulations pertaining to the legal shelf life for bottled water. We do, however, recommend that you consume your water within 2 years of the bottling date. |
